There are lots of tests you need to do to figure out what the problem is.

First I suggest doing a vacuum reading to see if you have a STEADY reading somewhere in the 15-21Hg range. That doesn't mean your vacuum fluctuates in that range it means you have 15Hg steady, 16Hg steady, 17Hg steady, etc. On my cars I had about 21Hg steady when I measured. If your vacuum moves around, it indicates a vacuum leak and would contribute to a high idle.

The parts you listed, were the used or brand new? If used, how are you sure they are okay? Here are a few things you can do:

1) idle air valve needs to be checked - what is the voltage with car running? If around 4-6 volts, you are okay. If over 6, it is probably bad. If under 4, the idle control unit (pass footwell in gen2 cars, between two firewalls in gen1 cars) is a possible culprit.

2) you can remove the casing from the idle control module/unit (about the size of a cigarette pack), reinstall it and twist the board with car running (looks like a computer board/circuit). If your idle changes, it means that part is bad.

3) Check your temp sensors - on one of my cars I had a bad wire leading to that.

4) unplug the cold start valve wiring - does idle change? If so, that part could be bad.

5) check your throttle linkages to make sure none of them are binding.

Just a few things to look at.

Hi all I changed OVP relay today. But not fixed . again when ý am first start engine cold my rpm goes 1000 then some second down 700rpm but when engine hot my rpm going 1200 rpm and stuck.I change idle speed control and ovp relay . ý dont know where is problem .SaRp CaN Akman

igunn I checked my ovp relay .Ýts not working properly. I have got EPC ý write my VÝN number then ý check ovp number. I confused because epc gives me A 201 540 37 45 or A 201 540 30 45 but ý swich off my car A 201 540 32 45 which one is correct . :(((SaRp CaN Akman

ASS ABS and 1200 RPM are all symptoms of a faulty OVP, Yes you have the correct one, try tapping on top or side of the relay, don't break the plastic top, while the engine running and see what happens.

Hi I am sorry ý dont speak english very well ý speak a little .I have got 1988 560 sec . I change my airmass meter 1 month ago Ýnstalled part moving out 1991 560 SEL and Used but runing good no problem. I have got 2 problem.When ý start the engine (engine cold ) My idle speed control unit works good first going 10.000 rpm then some seconds left going to 700 rpm. But when ý push to throttle engine stand to 1200 rpm .((How can ý do for this problem .I order new ýdle speed control unit then install problem not fixed .idle control unit runing good . I dont know how can ý check some point tanks I am so sorry to my bad english
