It now has an Arizona title, was previously blue/grey in color (according to the response from the seller)....

Who in their right mind or total naivety would ever give someone the title to a car that hasn't really been sold yet. Sounds like someone is learning a valuable lesson. All the mechanic has to say is that he either bought the car or it was payment of a shop bill. Either way, he has the "legal" title.

As they say, "Possession is nine tenths of the law."  :-(

It sounds like someone sent it on it's way w/ a signed/blank title.....and someone decided to take advantage of that fact.

Hi all

My friend gave our local Mercedes repair guy his son's coupe to fix up and sell (yes he gave him the signed Texas title)

Well the guy took of to Phoenix with his family and the car .... Car was originally bought 2 years ago with 76000 miles out of California

Been having a lot of cometic issues like the dash was totally cracked everywhere etc.... Car used to have a hard time staring and was 

Light blue at one time ... Well anyhow just wanted to warn you about the car being stolen
