[W126 Coupe] Stolen coupe on ebay

I'm confused. If it's stolen, why is it still on EBay? Seems like one police report and an email to EBay and that thing's off the site? Getting it back should be rather easy as well.
Am I missing something here?

My friend gave our local Mercedes repair guy his son's coupe to fix up and sell (yes he gave him the signed Texas title)
