[W126 Coupe] SEC New Wood Dash Kit Opportunity for us all

Are these the kits that one applies over your old/cracked wood via some
industrial grade double sided tape?

They were for sale for a while on Ebay for our cars...Never looked right
once installed from the pictures I saw..  You could tell the veneer was
sitting high/proud.
