[W126 Coupe] CLK63 AMG Black

The reports are it will be an SL65 Black Series, rather than based on the
63.  It has a huge widebody kit on it, and looks really really aggressive!

I just read that they are releasing the SL63 Black Series later this year.
Going to be a big monster like the CLK63 Black Series.

I had a chance to drive the CLK63 in anger at their press release last year
at Willow Springs. Don't know of any issues other than the same problems
that afflict other new Mercedes.


The car was so easy to drive and predictable in all corners and even more
fun with traction control off. Then I became a passenger to Klaus Ludwig. He
drove the car around drifting in all corners and the car stayed really
stable. I prefer this car which was sensitively nimble over the SLR. But the
real bargain is the C63 AMG at half the price.

RS6 is getting up there in miles. He can handle the CLK63 -- races Formula
Atlantic -- but he wonders if there are any known trouble areas or defects.
