[W126 Coupe] Seat Belt Presenter Problem

Hi Tom,

I have not tried the following but, you have nothing to lose. Trigger
the extender to move forward and grab a hold of the arm and pull with
minimal force to see if you can actually take the arm past it's normal
stop to fully remove.

Failing this effort, you have no choice but, to remove the rear seat,
side panel and extender motor with the broken arm. Then finding a used
arm, set it up on a bench and test before re-installing. It's been many
years since I did those Autolux aluminum gears so, please see the
instructions on the MBCoupes main webpage under 'repairs' if you
determine it's time to replace the one nylon gear in the original motor
assembly. I'd look the whole affair over to be sure it will be in
perfect working order when your repair has been made.

Best regards,

Dick
