I haven't pursued it yet but I'm wondering if the sunroof drain is 
leaking. 
That being said, your idea about condensation is possible, if the 
insulation isn't bonded to the roof sheet metal. 

One of these days I'm going to have to drop the head liner and see 
what's up there, but I haven't gotten quite that motivated yet, and 
definitely not in this frozen weather currently!
