[W126 Coupe] spacers

Markus,

The shank on the lug bolts on our cars is 39 mm. Whatever size spacer you choose, you have to add that to the length of the shank. The trouble is that there aren't that many sizes to choose from in Mercedes bolts (17 mm head, 12x1.5 bolt, ball seat). I've seen bolts with a 60 mm shank which would allow you to use a 20 mm spacer.

However, you may want to consider the H&R DRA type spacers, where you bolts the spacer to the hub using the supplied bolts, then you bolt the wheel to the spacer using you standard MB lug bolts.

The original Penta AMG rims, 8"x16" for our cars came with an offset of 11 and 225 tires. I used to have a set of 7.5"x16", ET 17 with 225 tires that filled out the wheel wells quite nicely.

Hi gang,

I have a set of 17X8 wheels I'm fitting to one of my SELs. Offset is 28. I am thinking in the rear to use 10mm spacers and nothing in the front. Does this sound best? My 18X8 fronts on my SEC have 31 offset with no spacers so this would be close, and 35 in the rear with 20mm spacers making it 15 offset rear. 10mm spaces with 28 offset would make it 18 which seems good...or should I go with 15mm spacers and make it 13 offset?

What size bolts will I need for the rear - 50mm shank?

Where's the best place to find H&R spacers and the right bolts? I've been searching and am having trouble finding both together....anybody have a set they are looking to sell?
