[W126 Coupe] How to remove airgbag steering wheel

Look at the back of the steering wheel (side facing the dashboard) and you'll see the two holes for the T25(?) Torx screws. The big nut that actually holds on the steering wheels has likely been on there since Moby Dick was a minnow and is going to be a pain. I used a 1/2" drive rattle gun (air gun) and it took it right off.

I think you'll find yanking it off both difficult and costly in the end!

The air bag is held on w/ two T25's if memory serves, the steering wheel is held on with a large nut that will show itself once the air bag has been removed.
