David,

Removing the dash is a huge, audacious project.

Its something I have been reluctant to tackle and therefore know nothing about.

I have had the rear shelf out several times when I installed the power sun screen.

Just follow these steps:
- Remove the rear seats
- Remove the speaker covers, the contents of the rear storage boxes and the storage boxes themsleves (three screws on the front edge of the boxes).
- Remove the C-pillar panels by pulling them straight forward, horizontally.
- Remove the 3rd brakelight if you have them in the UK and the power sunscreen if you have that option.
- Lift out the rear parcel shelf.

I found the the most challenging step to be the removal and installation of the C-pillar panels. You have to pull harder than you think you should upon removal and they can be tricky to line up properly when you put them back in.Regards, Axel J.
