[W126 Coupe] Transmission "Clunk" - But only when selecting Reverse Gear

Hello Mike,

Sadly, there isn't anything you can do..what you are describing is the 
initial signs of a transmission that's on it's way out.  Fortunately, 
even if you lose reverse you'll still have your forward gears.  My 
advice would be to try to park the car as though you do not have 
reverse..only using it when you Need it will help lengthen it's life.

In order to fix the problem the transmission needs to come and re-done.
