The German racing color used to be white (French - blue, Spanish - yellow), but in the '30's Auto Union and Mercedes-Benz started racing their cars in the bare metal (mostly aluminium and magnesium bodies), which led to "silver" becoming the new racing color for GermanyRegards, Axel J.
