Subject: Re: [W126 Coupe] SEC WHEEL HUB QUESTION
I had the same failure over a year ago and my local tech put in a heli-coil which (touch wood) has held up perfectly through three wheel changes, the only thing to remember is not to let anyone with an airgun near there, (mark the wheelnut and hole), initially I was a bit wary of what is basically a bodge on a fairly important part of the car and was forever checking the tightness, however no adjustment was ever needed and now I don`t even think about it. Needless to say heli-coiling was much, much cheaper than a new hub.
All the best, John Poole `91 560 SEC
Okay so a New Hub it is
What's involved ... Like how long will it take .... Where can I buy the Hub?
 ciao, Frank
