All what problems?  Keep in mind how old these cars are we are talking about
first of all!  I am driving a 22 year old car as my daily driver!  No daily
problems or issues.  So a fuel pump goes bad after 22 years, so what?  I'd
be hard pressed to find a 22 year old American car that is in as driveable
condition as what I have right now, not needing any work, or a Volvo, Toyota
or other car for that matter.  If you learn to work on these cars as I have
over the past 10 years, and maintain them properly, they aren't any worse
than any other car.  What I think people tend to forget is most American
cars are thrown away after 10-15 years, not still being driven daily at 20,
25 or 30 years like many MB diesels are right now.  Things don't last
forever, even with German engineering!

Holy smoke, I keep reading about all the problems and high cost of repairs 
and parts you guys are having with your Mercedes-Benz's I am getting scared.

Perhaps I should sell mine and just stick to my Volvo's.
