My guess on the mileage is that the conversion company put in a different speedometer, marked in MPH, and just reported the mileage on the odometer in the speedo instead of adding the required doorframe sticker showing the before and after mileages.

        I had a 1986 420SEC shipped to the US from Germany went thru a company in Campaign, IL back in 1994 and it cost me almost $8000 to convert it to US specs EPA/DOT
        I know it been a long time ago but I would not do it again, took them 3 month's to do the job .... Only weird thing was the car left Germany with 157000 km and when I got it back it had a title with 23500 actual miles on it ... That's why I never trust any Euro's with low miles on them
