My tumbler went and I replaced it and got a set of keys for under $100.
Was real easy to replace - I'd look into that for piece of mind.

The dealer needs to do them - it's a rather strange key and with the
dealer doing it, you are assured it's going to work just fine.

FYI, if you haven't replaced the ignition switch tumbler assembly yet,
they do die after a while and when ordering the tumbler set for your car
(by VIN), you get a fresh key that still works with the rest of the
locks in the car.
