[W126 Coupe] 1985 500SEC Widebody on ebay

 I asked him if the registration was current for Cal. He said yes so I asked to see the car and he said he was planning a public showing, whatever that means. Without looking at the VIN, its difficult to believe this was a true AMG car especially with gray market registration difficulties in CAL. That's why I want to see the EPA/DOT and CAL stickers in the engine compartment and what the title says. He also said he knows of where to obtain the headlight wipers which is currently missing. More questions as to whether this was in the process of being restored or a slapped together wrecked car.

Well, I agree it is Sketchy but it does have the Hammer version of the air cleaner, and it looks as though there is sticker goo where the AMG info would typically be.? Also, those headers are AMG bits.

I don't trust the bidding w/ all the 0 feedback bidders etc..

the engine photo shows it is 
        the regular single cam 117 engine, and the hood pad is missing or didn't 
        this model have a hood pad? To bad no provinance for the maintainance 
        history for the car is given. Make one wonder????
