Steve Nervig's website has all of the details for wiring and vacuum on
the euro headlamps.
Vacuum. The dash switch takes it's vac source from the vac reservoir
in the front fender. Then you have the one distribution feed from this
switch that goes to a tee just outside the fuse box. I would test these
lines for any leaks then test the individual vac elements on the
headlamps to be sure they work and hold a vacuum using a MightyVac
before installing the euro lamps.
Euro fog. Where you have the original euro set-up in the dash, add the
center fog indicator bulb to the headlamp switch and confirm it works
and that the third socket & bulb in the rear brake assembly work as a
true euro should.
Wiper motors. Changing up the wipers from US to euro. Easiest thing to
do is drop the front bumper (disconnect the fog light wiring first).
Then you can change up the motor brackets and the valance for each side
and test.
Wiring. Confirm the citi-lights work and fix the one-wire if this was
changed over when the car was made US.
I've typically replaced the glass if pitted, cleaned the chrome
reflectors of any film, painted the gray plastic surround chrome while
the glass is out, then just added the super blue 12vdc citi-lights and
street lamps. Elevation details are in the cd manual and are set at 33
feet (10 meters) at the neutral detente on the dash switch.
Regards,
Dick
