[W126 Coupe] BBS wheels and lug nuts

Markus,

I have BBS wheels; they use bolts that are for a VW I think. The head is shorter than the factory MB bolts, any wheel shop should have these bolts as they are used on VW's.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] BBS wheels and lug nuts

Hi guys,

Anybody here either currently using or in the past have used BBS wheels on their 126's? I've got some BBS RS 2 piece wheels I'm trying out. Offset is 24mm, so I was thinking of using the 10mm spacers I have in the rear possibly and leaving the fronts alone. Size is 16X8. Anyhow....I noticed 2 immediate problems trying to use the stock lug nuts (newer shorter ones). First problem is they stick out the back of the BBS wheel about 1/2 further than the stock wheel. Okay, I could use 10mm spacers all around to cure that, but....second problem is, the "head" of the lug nut sticks too far out the front as well. The BBS wheel has a large center cap that hides the lug nuts, and even the newer shorter style lugs are too long and stick out the front of these caps.

So, I was curious if anyone had or has these style wheels and what they did?

Thanks,

Markus Meyer
