Make sure you tell him I sent you.? The good thing is they won't try to trick you into buying new shocks, bushings etc like other dealers, unless its absolutely necessary.? Good luck

I'll drive to WLA for a job well done.? Alas, Arnie called in sick today...

I'll follow-up manana; I hope he's recovered from his 18 hole flu...

Paul,
If you're in West L.A., Globe Tires is the best at La Cienega and Venice.? Arnie (Owner) and my friend has been in business for a long time. They have aligned thousands of Mercedes and did mine a while ago including H&R springs and 18" AMG's. The car tracks straight with no issues. Plus they will work with your ideal and budget and not try to upsell you. You must however talk to Arnie.

Time for new shoes for the '90 500 SL; recommended size (and currently on the car) is 225x55x16 all around.

What is the most current list wisdom as to:

1) tire size (I'm not considering new wheels or a staggered set-up at this time);? would slightly wider tires give any benefit?

2) tire rating; my aggressive driving days are behind me, so Z is definitely ridiculous, but what's a good daily driver that can handle "a little more"?

3) brand and model;

4) where to buy;? I'll check tirerack.com and costco, of course;? any other suggestions?

Camber is wrong on rear:? outside wearing excessively.? So, I also need a good alignment/suspension shop in So.Cal.? (S/E LA County, Orange County).

Thanks for any and all advice!
