It's a race I'll likely lose. All I have to do is:
1.. design and install a transmission shift linkage
2.. design and install an accelerator pedal with cable
3.. design and install a transmission mount
4.. Move the battery to the trunk, do the wiring
5.. Mount the PCM in place of the battery
6.. Remove all Benz engine wiring
7.. Wire up the engine with the new wiring harness
8.. Install the new fuel pump, plumb it, get a fuel pressure regulator and install it and plumb it to the engine
9.. Install the cruise control amplifier, hook it up electrically and mechanically
10.. Get the new driveshaft made and installed
11.. Install the alternator and AC compressor (stock or custom location, depending on fit), wire/plumb them
12.. Install the SEC radiator, plumb it
13.. Install the GM power steering pump, plumb it
14.. Mount the new transmission cooler and plumb it
15.. Mount the new oil cooler and plumb it
16.. install the new Lorinser air dam on the front skin, paint it
17.. install the new rocker panel pieces, paint them
18.. remove the SLS hardware in the back, install the new non-SLS H&R springs and new Bilstein shocks
19.. buy some new rims and tires capable of 185 mph
20.. get an alignment
There's a dozen more tasks that will need to be done, but I've depressed myself enough with this list.

Mike,
That's awesome, you must be excited! Just like I am with Nancy's SEL, almost done. I'll race ya....we'll see who has which car back together first! I still have to assemble the euro bumpers (new chrome, repainted cladding, etc), and mount them on the car, get the slats I cut out of the SEC bumper filled in with mesh, get the wiring done for the bumper fogs and installed, install the euro lights, get the car tinted, the interior Leatheriqued. Maybe it will be done by spring! What's your goal?! :)

This photo doesn't look like much but it's great progress to the project. I now have motor mounts ready to weld into the car. The aluminum plates are cut and ready to weld into the oil pan to close it up. I would like to get the welding done next week.
Once the welding is finished, I can put the oil pan internals back in and bolt it on the engine. Then it's time to bolt the engine to the tranny and drop them into the car!! Whooohooo!!
