Pretty much follow straight back from the oil dipstick and you'll be on top of it. In 84 it would be electrical and perhaps vacuum controlled. You need to read the specific model year spec for the 84. MB made numerous revisionsduring these early years and they included the warm-up regulator. If you have a problem, Bellamy will be the best source of info.Thermo-time switch is a sender unit bolted to the head that typically has two vacuum lines that plumbed into it.Regards,Dick

Hello Gents just wanted to ask in this forum about 1984 380 SEC about a warm up regulator, just wanted to check it if possible while I am replacing the injectors. Jonathan I wanted to follow your steps, but needed to know the location of the warm up regulator, is this item the vaccum thermo time switch by chance? Thanks for any help.
