[W126 Coupe] got a code "5" oxygen sensor needs replacement

forgot to ask....do you access the plug from beneath or above the car. i quickly looked yesterday and really couldn't see it from the top...

Just purchase the Mustang 3-wire O2 for $40 or so at auto parts place and solder, tape or shrink-wrap the splice in the original harness to save a $100 or so. I buy the sensor with longer lead and that way the splice is up inside the cabin foot well and not exposed to the elements below. The threads on the new o2 come with anti-seize on them so not much else to go wrong.
