[W126 Coupe] SRS light came on

More than likely, there is nothing wrong with your airbags, it is the control box (center console, behind and underneath the ashtray) that is malfunctioning.
A new box is in excess of $2,000 from MB. Used ones can be had for ~$400.

Yesterday the  SRS light came on. has anyone had this problem or know the cause or how to fix
