[W126 Coupe] Smaller is better - at least in wheels!

I finally got my 8 and 9 inch Pentas back from the refinisher today so off came the staggered 18 inch ///AMGs and on went the staggered Pentas. Wow! The feel of the car is noticeably more nimble and agile. It also seems to track better without any tramlining. Jonathan is right - the W126 suspension bits were not designed to have excessive weight bolted to them. I figured I'd lose some cornering ability by not having 245 front / 275 rears but short of 10/10ths cornering on a track I can't really tell the difference - the car corners just as flat and grippy as it did with the 18s. I'm now back to a plus 2 configuration rather than a plus 4. Added benefit - 16 inch tires are cheaper than 18s.
