Funny, this message seems to have gone somewhere other than mbcoupes.  Anyway, the following message was what was meant to post......

The Mercedes Benz part No. for the 380 distributor you are looking for is 003 158 10 01It is on the side of the body.  To check the vacuum pot, stick a vacuum hose on the pot.  Suction should rotate the contacts inside a few degrees.  If there is no resistance, the diaphram is shot. The only wire is the ignition control green wire. -Bellamy
