[W126 Coupe] Sunroof problrm

Basically you have forward motion on your motor but not reverse... to open the roof upwards the motor drives forward... to close or to open it drives in reverse... you will find that if the roof is in fully open you will be able to close it.

So it boils down to either switch or motor...

  Did you try swapping the switch from your SEL to see if it works (assuming your SEL sunroof works just fine).  If it works with the SEL switch, your switch is faulty.

    On my 420SEL I can push on the sunroof button and raise the back flap; however, I cannot open the roof itself or shut the back flap down.  I have to turn the crank in the trunk to close the flap.  Any ideas?
