[W126 Coupe] Sunroof problrm

On my 420SEL I can push on the sunroof button and raise the back flap; however, I cannot open the roof itself or shut the back flap down.  I have to turn the crank in the trunk to close the flap.  Any ideas?Thanks,Camran
