[W126 Coupe] heater doesn't work

been told to check the mono valve    but i don't where it is or what it looks like     
   
  everything else works a/c, vent etc.  although i do get some condensation on the inside of my windshield.   can that be fixed.    checking the archives for the heater fix/mono valve
