[W126 Coupe] trunk lock

Thanks for the help But the lock is in the 12 0`clock position and will not
turn and trunk is locked. Could it be a wiring problem

The trunk lock has a dual locking system. In addition to the button latch,
there is a bolt style lock that is normally engaged by turning the key to
the 3 o'clock position and removing the key. The trunk can not be unlocked
with the valet key.
The problem that can happen, is the bolt linkage pops off and allows the
bolt to float around, it slides into a lock position and you can't unlock
it.
