[W126 Coupe] Help - my motor blew a hole

You guys are saviors. I ordered the part from Rusty Thursday, had it
Friday.
Cleaned all my existing parts, dropped it back in this morning and I'm
back in business. I am forever grateful (or until it blows out again -
nah, I'll take it easy).

As soon as I get it on the Dyno I'll post the results.

Thanks for all your replies, John & Dick & Steve for the Part Number.
You've made me feel a lot better.

Is Johnatan at 404-805-1357?

I had actually replaced virtually all of the hoses (and the nylon
adapter) about 2 years ago, as every time I touched a hose, it crumbled.
I have a feeling this material suffered from the same brittle fatigue
that time & heat causes.

Thanks again, and I'll let you all know how it works out - next step,
blow off valve. Then I'll try a dyno run.

Hi Alexander:

Well if you are referring to the hard rubber base to the air flow meter
housing that is sort of rectangular and has the clamp fitting that
connects to the throttle body. It is available and you might as well do
one or both of the ICV hoses while you are at it. Did the nylon adapter
survive for the ICV hose, that's the only other part you need to
inspect. Seems unlikely it would be damaged but, I have no idea what
20+PSI does to these things. Certainly the lower one. MB dealer can get
it or you can call Jonathan or Rusty and have it in a day. Seems your
area code is Long Island and the supplier is in Connecticut if I'm not
mistaken so 1 day shipping would be about right.

These parts are inexpensive so no big deal just an hour or so to fix. If

you've separated the fuel distributor (fd) from the air flow meter
housing, you will need that fd base seal as well.
