[W126 Coupe] Engine death rattle ?

It sounds like low oil pressure at start up....what I found is that
sometimes the Hydraulic Compensators loosen up over time and you will
lose oil pressure when the engine is cold. Also aftermarket hydraulic
chain tensioners are no good replace yours with original MB. The rails
go to hell and a hand basket also and the large banana shaped rail also
goes bad...It is prudent to replace all those when replacing the chain.
Just my 2 cents

Wow, great replies.
Thanks everybody. Since I have access to another car, getting mine fixed
will be easy.
