[W126 Coupe] heater/AC blower motor failure ??

The guys have great photos of both types on the mbcoupes list for you
Rick. If that does not prove to be the problem, I'd start with a check
of the blower motor with 12vdc. Hopefully, you do not have a passenger
airbag. This makes access to the blower and the control unit easier.
Last is the pre-resistance group under the brake booster which is a lot
of fun to get at (not).

Was the blower every intermittent before this event?

When I returned home I checked to see if the compressor was turning,,,and it was, but the fan (blower) was not blowing air...in any mode. i.e. fast, slow or automatic. It is not a blown fuse because the blower motor is on the same circuit as other things that work properly. When I select 'economy' the compressor turns off, so the climate control seems to work properly. I assume it is either the blower resistor pack or the blower motor itself.

I think I should check the blower motor and/or the resistor pack with an outside +12 source to see if they operate but I don't know where it is or how to get to it.
