Gerry,
I had Hartmann do the job. I had heard a lot about the two brothers,
how good there company was. They did the job for 384.00, plus new
plugs and fixed a broken hose. I had moved my oil changes to 5K about
two years ago, and was using 1/2 Quart every 5K.using synthetic. When
I really got on it there was a trace of blue smoke, but mostly black.
Anyway the car runs great at 236K. I have gone back to convention oil W15-40.
Next weekend [15th and 16th] is the Sunriver exotic car show in Sunriver
OR. We will have the SEC standing tall next to the Ferrari's, Porsche's and
BMW's.We need you 500E there. These guys go for a ride on Sunday
SATISH STYLE.
B.C.

Barry,
Your compression readings are just fine and within spec. At 236K,
that's actually a really good reading.
Did MBI do the valve guide seals? Were you using oil at a high rate?
Cheers,
Gerry
