I am sorry folks but I posted the wrong VIN for the 91 in question.  The
proper VIN is WDB1260451A580756.

May I also ask... 
 
Does anyone live in the Austin area and would be kind enough to take a
look-see of this 91 should it come to that?

Someone sent me a link to a Euro 91 for sale; or it's claimed to be a Euro
91.  If someone has an open Carfax account, would they mind running the VIN?
