I guess if you want the car for parts, or just the motor, then yes.

But if you need to get a title to put it on the road (registration, license plate, insurance), then it won't work.

The VIN# is not for USA, so you'll have to prove compliance with US laws. Without Customs, EPA, and DOT releases, you can't.

The way around that is to pull the engine and send it to
one address and the rest of the car to another address.
Then they are both considered (as) parts, not a car. It's
some work, but that way you don't need to convert it.
How you get it licensed here, is another question. I
guess it depends on the State.
