[W126 Coupe] INTERMITTENT WINDSHIELD WIPER

Hi All
On a 1989 420SEL the wiper on regular and high speed works fine, on the intermittent speed it does not complete the cycle.
Is there a sensor that would effect/control this? If so where is it? If not than ... what do you think it is?
