[W126 Coupe] Turn signal won't cancel

[SHINZBOX at aol.com]

For some reason suddenly my turn signals won't cancel left or right.   The 
usual sound when the steering wheel is beyond the cancellation limit  isn't 
there anymore.  Does this mean it is worn out?
