[W126 Coupe] 85 500SEL sell or scrap?

Hello all,

My parents have a 1985 500SEL Euro car.  The car is not in great shape and the tranmission is in need of a few parts.  Now with my dad's health declining, they  only need one car.  For this they have a 1995 BMW 740iL.  

So I am wondering, do we sell the car for scrap or try and sell it.  I would appreciate any input.  The car is in Denver, CO, USA.
