[W126 Coupe] Radio wanted for my 560 sec

Hello:
I would be interested in exactly how this was done. If you used the  existing 
amplifiers how did you get power to them as the radio must be on to use  the 
amps.? Did you add a switch in parallel that gets 12v DC to the amps when  
using the IPOD or did you make the radio inoperable and left in for looks  only.? 
If you can provide some details it would be appreciated as I would  like to 
marry an IPOD to my stock set up. Reconfiguring the whole system would  be a 
nightmare and very expensive but your alternative seems like a preferred  
solution in lieu of a CD head unit change out. Using a cassette is a real trade  off 
to keep the system looking stock.
