Melinda,

There are really only two options available to you; keep everything original or remove EVERYTHING and replace with your choice of new equipment.

Where people get into trouble is where they replace certain elements of the sound system (head unit, speakers, etc.) and try to make it work with the Becker components. That is a recipe for frustration and disappointment.

You'll find that a new head unit will not work with the Becker amplifiers. If you change the speakers, the sound they make will disappoint.

You can have your head unit refurbished at Becker North America. They even offer an upgrade with a CD player.

If you decide to go with new components, beware, it is a big job; front seats out, rear seats out, carpets out, center console apart, door panels off, kick panels off, etc.
I used more than 100 ft. of speaker cable for my installation.

Good luck.Regards, Axel J. Wulff610-731-5453 Cellular610-572-4611 Home

The original radio is still in place (non-functional) and the previous owner put a radio in the center counsel. I would like to stay with the same company (as the original) and I wondered what all of you in this wonderful club did for tunes.....
