This subject is covered exhaustively in the archives by people far more qualified than me, however I reckon you`d be safe with either choice as on my (lowered with wheel arches rolled) car I have 8.5 x 17 ET17 front with 10 x 17 ET18 rear in summer and 8 x 16 ET11 allround in winter with no problems at all. Vis the choice of spacer, aestetics aside, personally I`d feel safer using the 20mm as I think I`m right in saying that that size actually bolts on the hub as opposed to just sitting on the lip.
All the best, John Poole `91 560SEC (Blower)
I just wanted to know if the sizes that I had figured were correct.
I guess my question is if I were to use a 15mm spacers would the wheels work. The front offset would become 22mm and the rear offset would become 15mm. I could also use a 20mm spacer which would make the front 17mm Would that work?
