[W126 Coupe] Wheel Shimmy Driving Me Crazy!

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm going to try to adjust the play out of the
steering gearbox. I'll give an update Monday.
And actually I did at one point jack the rear up and run the car up to
150MPH - smooth as silk - so I know the back half is OK. Do not want to
think what would have happened if a jack stand kicked out!?!
But yes, I am living with it too, but the choice is either drive <58 or
>82, so by the way of other motorists I am either an idiot or a maniac!

Sound like somebody else is finally having this problem I've been
fighting for the past 3 years
I don't know where to start on what I replaced on the car but after 3
sets of diff. Wheels entire rebuild of the rear
Driveshaft, bearings, roters, brakes, shocks, replaced steering and
entire front I still have the shake and YES now that it gets colder
I really feel it like crazy ..... Please do let me know if you find the
problem.... In the meantime I learned to live with it
Sincerely, Frank
P.S. Taking my SEC to Mexico tomorrow for a complete repaint (everything
will be removed) for $1800
The guy does great work........
