[W126 Coupe] Interior Lights

Uh, we don't seem to be on the same page. WHAT "two wires"?

Check out the top push switch (photo below). That should turn on the interior light and the entry light in the bottom of the door. Push it in and hold it for a few seconds. The light should go out. It's on a delay. If the driver's door does NOT turn the interior light "on", but the passenger door DOES, change the switch at the driver's door. -Bellamy

If I just jump the two wires together – will that make the light come on? If it doesn’t, do you have any suggestions?
