I recently put a set of Bridgestone Touranzas on my 84 500SEC - they handle
fine but are REALLY noisy.  I just put a set of Exaltos on my Volvo wagon -
handles really well and really quiet. The next set for the SEC will be the
Exalto FWIW.  Good luck.....

I guess I'm not going to try and sell my '91 seeing the abysmal prices 
being fetched for non-pristine examples so I am going to replace the 
badly worn Dunlops and asking for suggestion of a quiet touring type 
tire, don't need Z rating, as mostly just around town now, not pushing 
it hard anymore.

Michelin Energy MXV4 ?, Exalto AS ?  thanks.

Also - I am using AMG Aero II 18's  staggered set up and would be happy 
to swap them out for 17's if anyone is interested.
