  No they don't stick out since they are adjustable. You just slide the collar containing the set screws along the exhaust pipe to locate the tips where you want them and then tighten down the set screws. It also depends on how much gap you have between the bottom of the bumper and the end of the pipe. If the pipe is too close to the bumper just cut it back to get the desired fit. The end result is a very OEM look as the tips tuck nicely under the bumper.

  Thanks, Rich. I'll double-check with my dealer. The Jag tips sound nice. I've got Euro bumpers like you must have; they don't protrude too much out the back end, do they?

  I went with OEM Jaguar tips for the supercharged models (XKS???) since they are stainless steel double wall construction, angle cut, and fit over the W126 2.25" exhaust pipes perfectly and are secured with a couple of set screws. Plus, they look cool coming out the back of an SEC!

    Muffler shops have many types of exhaust tips. AMG tips may be hard to find,
    but very good looking exhaust tips are readily available.
    I removed the center resonators from my 1991 560 SEC and installed a Remus
    exhaust - I really like the sound.
