[W126 Coupe] Lowering

I have the H&R sport springs on my SEC. They lower the car about 1.25" all around. Roll resistance in the corners definitely improves but beware that you will loose ground clearance so you need to be extra careful not to destroy the front spoiler in parking lots or turning on/off high crown roads. In addition, if you have wider aftermarket wheels you may get fender rub depending on the wheel offset.

Also, lowering will produce way too much negative camber in the rear. As 126 cars do not have adjustable camber in the rear suspension you will need to install an adjustable camber kit. Mine is from an Australian company called K-MAC.

Bottom line, you get improved handling and looks but there are trade-offs.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] Lowering

My 380SEC sits much to high with the amg body kit. I was wondering if anyone
had any suggestions? are H & R lowering springs a good idea?

I'd be interested in a trunk "lip" spoiler for my w126. If anyone has one available
let me know.
