I'm not sure if you know this, but this is actually a MB concept car  
that is more than 10 years old, it heavily influenced
the design of the previous generation S-class, as can be seen by the  
headlights. It also heavily influenced the
previous generation CL, as can be seen by the overall body shape and  
roofline.

I never liked this concept car all that much, although certain  
details are nice. But it is clearly not a typical Benz,
just a bit of fun by their forward-thinking engineers and stylists -  
in an era where their design wasn't as forward-thinking
as it used to be, IMHO.

Somebody on this list once said that the SEC shape will age like fine  
wine, and I am tending to agree with it.
Hang on to yours, in 10-20 years it'll be a highly desirable classic  
methinks.
