[W126 Coupe] Clay's Nightmare continues

Hi to those that responded,
Dick when I tested for short I had neg. cable off and ground neg. to alt. bracket and it lite up that would mean a short correct. Still have to floor car and crank to start and I'm sure that probably foul plugs at first, but then car starts and runs when driving ok except at idle again, it dies. Only ran good and started instantly the one day and not again. Can drive to a shop if I brake torque at stops.
