One source I checked said 8.2 quarts initial fill, 9.1 quarts total fill. Are you checking the dipstick with the engine/trans warmed up, sitting on level ground, with the engine running, trans in park? Including the torque converter I put in 8 qts. When I check the dip stick it shows it being a little low but not much. I got on the freeway yesterday and purposly kept my foot on the gas and it got up to 70 MPH before it kicked into 4th gear. I'll check the oil level again. Camran

It could be either. Check it on the dipstick. Both are very very bad. How much did you put in? IIRC it takes about 8qts.

Ever since then the gears don't change unless I let off the gas for a quick moment. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Is it not enough oil or too much? I had no problem before the service.
